Our opening hours are 9am to 10pm daily. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is closed for tourism activities on Friday mornings and will reopen for visitors after 4:30pm.
The mosque is closed on the first day of Eid Al Fitr & Eid Al Adha holidays.

No, admission to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is free.

Yes, every day the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque offers free guided walk-in tours for individuals and groups.
Tours are led by official SZGMC Guides who will take you and other members of the public around the mosque explaining various elements of the architecture and Islamic culture.
Visitors should arrive approximately 15 minutes before the tour time and our Visitor Experience coordinators will be there to greet you and assist you in joining a tour. The tour is approximately 45-60 minutes in length.

Tours commence on the East side of the mosque. Ask any of our friendly operations team (security or ground staff) where the tours start and they will be happy to guide you to the right starting point.

No, visitors must make their own way to the mosque (taxi, bus, personal car or walk)

Children are welcome to visit and to join the tours. Parental guidance and supervision is a must.

It is important to understand the dress code when visiting the mosque.
Long, loose fitting, ankle length trousers or skirts for women and men. Women must wear a headscarf.

Yes, the cars can be parked in the SOUTH car parking clearly marked by the signboards. These are located on the SIDE entrances to the mosque.

Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere on the mosque grounds.

Many of the architectural features of the mosque (particularly the delicate marble and carpet) must be handled with care to ensure they are protected. This precaution ensures that the carpets are protected against accidental and costly damage.

Yes, the mosque is open from 9am – 10pm daily and is only closed for prayer times.
On Fridays the mosque is open from 4:30pm – 10pm.

Yes, photos and video are allowed for personal use. Professional film makers and media establishments must obtain prior permission by filling Filming Permission Application.

Yes, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center provides wheelchairs and Club Car shuttle service for visitors with special needs. To request for wheelchairs or Club Car, please ask one of the ground staff (security) for assistance.
